The most surprising coaster for me at Alton Towers was without a doubt Rita. You hear nothing about this ride but negative, that it's shaky and rough. And I went in expecting the worst but I was pleasantly surprised to get a fairly smooth, fast and fun ride. I ended up riding the ride twice and I wish I could've gotten more rides in. There's not many better coaster elements than a hydraulic launch!

I'm a little sensitive to bad restraints. Superman at SFNE, the headbanging of SLCs and the tightness of T3 come to mind. And so I was a little nervous to ride Skyrush which has a reputation. But the first time I rode it I was blown away, the restraints weren't bad at all and the course was incredible. So intense and so full of airtime. The second time I rode it, the restraints had tightened up to the point of pain but no one can ever make me forget that amazing first ride.

I had high expectations for El Toro and it absolutely blew them away. I went for an ACE event a couple of years ago and got a bunch of awesome night rides. The airtime is out of this world, especially on the first couple of hills. I hope they get all the kinks worked out of this ride because it's one of the best coasters in the world!

What can I saw about Velocicoaster that others haven't? The praises of this coaster are sung far and wide and justifiably so. This ride is fantastic. It's fast, intense while still being easy to ride and has an incredible launch and second half. If the entire coaster was like the second half, it'd be an easy \#1 for me but it still sits solidly in my top 10.

I remember when Fahrenheit was announced. I always loved the slogan "97* and Falling Fast". Well I finally got the chance to ride it in 2021. And it was cool! Not my favorite coaster at HP but a much needed multi looper in a park with a bunch of airtime machines.

My trip to Knott's in 2019 was one of the worst days at a park I've ever had although that was no fault of the park. It was a 100+ degree day and I foolishly sprinted through getting all of the credits at park opening instead of taking it easy even though I had a Fast Lane band. By lunch time I was more dehydrated than I've ever been in my life and spent most of the afternoon and evening sitting in the shade instead of riding. Lesson learned, when I (hopefully) go this year I'll take it much more easy and enjoy the awesome park that much more for it!
