The King's Favorite

Before I moved out of Wisconsin I took a weekend day and hit some of the smaller parks in the area with Bay Beach and Little Amerricka being the main stops. Bay Beach in particular was intriguing to me. It was owned by the city of Green Bay which could be good or bad since municipalities usually don’t have much experience managing amusement parks. Well Green Bay does it right with Bay Beach. The park was clean, cheap and had a fantastic selection of rides. The standout being Zippin Pippin, a woodie that was allegedly Elvis’ favorite ride. Can’t blame the guy, the ride was really smooth and surprisingly forceful without being too intense for younger riders! And hey, if it’s good enough for the king, it’s good enough for me!
